Communication Expert

Mateo Garcia Prieto is the Communication Expert of the project. He is in charge of all the visibility and dissemination products of this EU funded initiative. He is the person in charge of the multimedia content produced by the project, meaning images, video footage and in charge of the production of a series of documentaries showcasing the outputs of the SUDEP South. Mateo is responsible for the management of the website content, PR material, social networks and all aspects in relation with the awareness of the Programme. Mateo has worked as communication expert for GIZ on a series of other regional projects in Brussels, Latin America, Caribbean and in the MENA region. He has a journalistic background having worked as Brussels correspondent for Spanish newspaper, Spanish commercial broadcasting or Foreign Affairs Quarterly journal. He holds a Master’s Degree on Arab and Contemporary Islamic Studies. He is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
